A Tradition of Giving. A Future of Hope.
For more than 25 years, the Oildale Toy Run has been a cherished tradition in Kern County, bringing together motorcycle riders, local businesses, volunteers, and families with one shared purpose—to ensure children and families experience the joy of the holiday season.
What began as a community-driven toy run grew into something much greater. Year after year, thousands of toys were collected, lasting partnerships were formed, and countless volunteers gave their time to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. The event became more than a ride—it became a symbol of generosity, compassion, and the incredible power of a community working together.
As our organization continued to grow, so did our vision.
We recognized that the needs within our community extend far beyond the holiday season. Families face challenges throughout the year, and there are countless opportunities to serve, support, and strengthen our neighborhoods every day.
That vision inspired the creation of Copes Bridging Hope.
Today, Copes Bridging Hope proudly serves as the nonprofit organization that carries forward the legacy of the Oildale Toy Run while expanding our mission to provide year-round support through community programs, family assistance, volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and partnerships that improve the lives of those we serve.
The Oildale Toy Run remains one of our signature annual events and continues to be an important part of who we are. Its history, traditions, and supporters are the foundation upon which Copes Bridging Hope was built.
Our commitment has never changed. We still believe that communities are strongest when people come together to help one another.
As we look toward the future, we are committed to creating new opportunities to serve our community while honoring the tradition that started it all.
Together with our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners, we are building a lasting legacy of compassion, service, and hope for generations to come.
